Sabor Speaker Jandroković calls for care for the vulnerable and despondent over Easter holidays

Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković, sent an Easter message to all Christian believers, emphasising the importance of remembering the vulnerable, lonely and despondent during the holiday season.

“Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the strongest testament to unconditional love and self-giving for others. As such, it calls believers to recognise in their own lives the importance of service, solidarity, and readiness for personal sacrifice. It is therefore especially important that, during this festive season, when we are particularly focused on our own families, we do not forget those in need of our attention, those who are vulnerable, lonely or dispondent,” the Speaker’s message states.

Celebrating the greatest Christian holiday also calls for joy and responsibility, Jandroković adds, noting that this responsibility includes actively contributing to the common good of our communities and being a force that unites and upholds true Christian values.

“Easter is for believers a lasting and unique source of strength and inspiration, which is particularly important in times of growing challenges and uncertainty,” the message emphasises.

“May the Easter message of Christ’s hope fill every home with abundant blessings, peace, and unwavering faith, and inspire us to always be bearers of encouragement and sincere support to one another,” Jandroković concludes, extending cordial Easter greetings, both on behalf of the Croatian Parliament and personally, to all Croatian citizens and to Croats around the world.
