Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Sunday sent condolences to the family of Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić, who passed away from a heart attack, underscoring that Bandić's distinctive style in managing the city and many projects have left a mark for several generations of local residents.
Jandroković says he was shocked by Bandić's sudden death and conveys his heartfelt condolences to the mayor's family.
Mr. Bandić has one of the longest political careers in Croatia. Since 2000 when he was elected for the first time as Zagreb Mayor until now he has marked the politics of the capital city during his six mayoral terms, Jandroković says in his letter of condolence.
His relentless energy and perseverance were unquestionable and he will be remembered for his recognisable approach, the Parliament Speaker wrote, among other things.
