Zagreb - The Autumn in Lika fair opened in the city of Gospic on Friday, featuring 270 exhibitors from around Croatia who will present food products, handicrafts, souvenirs and other products made by family farms, trades and SMEs.
Opening the fair, Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković underscored that this was the largest exhibition of traditional products. The best of the pick from all over Croatia, particularly from Lika County, is on display at the fair, said Jandroković.
County Prefect Darko Milinović said that Lika-Senj County was no longer weighing the country down and that statistics indicated that it was somewhere in the middle in terms of development while in some cases it was in the lead, for example, its exports were 2.7 times higher than imports."Lika has its future on a platter and I call on mayors to grab that future because we can succeed if we work together," Milinović said. He underscored that Lika-Senj County, and in particular the city of Senj, were leaders in per capita absorption of EU funds.(Hina)
