Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković said on Wednesday that the Parliament would start its new session on 19 January and that it would be in session for two months, possibly longer.
MPs have 152 items on the agenda, of which 134 were carried over from the last session.
There will be no changes to epidemiological rules in the plenary hall, MPs will have to wear face masks when outside the seating area but not at the rostrum, Jandroković told reporters after a session of the Parliament Presidency.
Asked by reporters if the mild epidemiological rules in Croatia were wrong considering the latest epidemiological indicators, he said that it was difficult to say who did right or wrong since countries with a high percentage of vaccinated people, like France and the UK, also have a large number of new infections.
He called on all citizens to comply with epidemiological rules, wear face masks, keep their distance from one another, and get vaccinated.
Among the items to be discussed during the parliament's new session is a request to form a commission of inquiry to investigate the use of EU funds, laws related to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the population census and opposition interpellations regarding the post-earthquake reconstruction.
