Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Tuesday sent condolences to North Macedonia Assembly Speaker, Talat Xhaferi, and the families of the casualties in a bus accident in Bulgaria.
"Everyone in Croatia was deeply shaken by this huge tragedy that has affected our friend North Macedonia. We take this opportunity to send you words of comfort and sympathy," Jandroković said in his telegram.
"We truly symphatise with the families of the casualties and wish a speedy and complete recovery to your injured citizens," he added.
At least 45 people were killed in the accident, including 12 children and most of the victims were ethnic Albanians from North Macedonia.
The accident occurred on the Struma motorway some 30 kilometres west of Sofia at about 2 am local time on Tuesday morning.
A group of tourists was returning to Skopje after spending the weekend in Istanbul.
This is the worst traffic accident in the history of Bulgaria.
