Croatia and Slovenia plan joint economic projects

Zagreb - Croatia and Slovenia are economically linked, they have common goals and expect to succeed in drawing European Union funds for joint projects, the chair of the Slovenian parliamentary economy committee, Alenka Pavlič, said in Zagreb on Wednesday after meeting with her Croatian counterpart Igor Rađenović.
 
Slovenia and Croatia are one another's biggest economic partner, Pavlič said. Rađenović told reporters this first visit by the Slovenian economy committee and the beginning of cooperation were agreed at a meeting in Brussels. He said the two committees would examine the possibilities of economic cooperation between the two countries and joint presentations on the European market.
 
-We concluded that we have common goals, notably in the development of infrastructure and tourism as well as in investments, said Pavlič.
-As for cross-border cooperation, we have great possibilities for further development so that we expect to draw money within the EU framework for joint projects and to see to the development of tourism on both sides, she added. (HINA)
