Zagreb - Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković on Wednesday extended his greetings to all Jewish faithful in Croatia on the occasion of Passover, wishing that the festival “always be an inexhaustible source of inner strength and peace” in all life’s circumstances.
“Passover, as a lasting commemoration of the liberation from long-lasting Egyptian slavery, is deeply rooted in the history and identity of the Jewish people. It is a reminder of the power of faith, the enduring value of freedom and dignity, and a festival that encourages perseverance, hope and solidarity in facing life’s challenges,” Jandroković said in his message.
He emphasised that “always, and particularly in today’s world marked by growing insecurity and divisions, the faithful are called to contribute personally to building an environment of greater mutual respect, understanding and tolerance.”
“May Passover always be an inexhaustible source of inner strength and peace for you in all circumstances, bringing the joy of true togetherness and the blessing of strengthened faith to your families. Hag Pesah sameah!” he concluded.
