Law on institutional framework for EU funds absorption passed

Zagreb - The parliament on Friday adopted a law regulating an institutional framework for the use of EU funds until 2027 and amended the Law on the Croatia's National Centre for the External Evaluation of Education (NCVVO).

The law on the institutional framework for the use of EU funds in Croatia sets a framework that isn't exclusively tied to a particular financial period and it  provides for the continuity through some future financial period.

Amendments to legislation regarding the National Centre for the External Evaluation of Education introduces the position of assistant director and the centre's steering board will also include a workers' representative and the centre's Statute will now be approved by the Ministry of Science and Education rather than the Sabor as was the case until now.

The Sabor also adopted a report from the Croatian National Bank (HNB) on financial circumstances in the second half of 2020 and a report on the implementation of COVID-19 epidemic measures for the period from 1 June to 31 August this year.

Several bills were sent to second reading including a bill on adult education.
