Jandroković supports Tsikhanouskaya in fight for democratic values

Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Thursday met with  Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the leader of the Belarusian opposition in exile, and supported her in the fight for democratic values and free elections.

Tsikhanouskaya informed Jandroković about the activities of the Coordination Council, which the European Parliament recognises as a representative of the Belarus opposition, as well as the activities of the United Transitional Cabinet, which she heads.

Aware that global attention is currently occupied by the war in Ukraine, she called for not losing sight of the state of human rights, institutional repression and the complete absence of political pluralism in Belarus.
