Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković, who is on a visit to Japan, on Tuesday met with the presidents of both houses of the Japanese Parliament, calling at those meetings on Japanese business people to invest in Croatia and citing in that context the positive examples of the Kali Tuna and Yazaka companies in Croatia.
Jandroković and the Speaker of the Japanese Parliament's House of Representatives, Tadamori Oshima, underlined the high level of political relations between the two countries and their readiness to further promote them.
The two officials discussed ways of enhancing economic cooperation, with Jandroković calling on Japanese business people to invest in Croatia and citing the positive examples of the Kali Tuna and Yazaka companies in Croatia.
Speaking of cooperation in the field of tourism, they agreed that the introduction of direct flights would enhance tourist trade.
Jandroković and Oshima also discussed international relations. During its presidency of the EU in the first half of 2020, Croatia will work to additionally enhance EU-Japan relations, it was said at the talks.
