Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković and Germany's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is on a two-day official visit to Croatia, on Thursday confirmed that the recently signed action plan would contribute to developing bilateral relations.
The two countries have very good and substantial relations based on their traditional friendship, the two officials said. They expressed the need to further develop cooperation with a view to strengthening it into a firm and long-term partnership in many areas of common interest.
According to the press release, the recently signed Comprehensive Agreement on Cooperation and the Action Plan foresee intensified cooperation in ten areas.
The Croatian community in Germany, which is well integrated in German society, is an additional link between the two countries, it was said during the talks.
Jandroković underlined good parliamentary cooperation, particularly within the European Union, and the need for a regular exchange of visits at the level of parliamentary committees.
