Jandroković visits construction site of Croatian National Theatre in Mostar

Zagreb - Sabor Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Friday visited the construction site of the building that will house the Croatian National Theatre in Mostar, and so far Croatia's government has appropriated €4.5 million for this project.

Jandroković expressed satisfaction with this "splendid" project and promised the continuation of Croatia's support to initiatives and projects which can contribute to the preservation and promotion of the identity of Bosnia and Herzegovina Croats.

The Parliament Speaker highlighted the importance of this theatre for all residents in Mostar.

The theatre director Ivan Vukoja thanked for the support from Zagreb.

The completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2027, while next spring some parts of the building are expected to start functioning as venues for cultural events.

On Friday, the last day of his three-day stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jandroković is scheduled to also hold talks with professors of the University of Mostar and Catholic dignitaries in Mostar and Međugorje.
