Croatian parliament Speaker invited to Doha Forum in May

Zagreb - Croatia and Qatar are developing friendly relations and are seeking to intensify their economic cooperation, notably Qatari investments in Croatia, Croatian Parliament Speaker Josip Leko said during a meeting with Qatar's Ambassador Mozi Nasser Al-Thani in Zagreb on Tuesday.

Al-Thani said that economic cooperation, particularly in energy, food industry, tourism and sport, would be the priority of her ambassadorship. She added that a visit by a Croatian Parliament delegation to Qatar would be a good step forward in strengthening economic ties and invited Leko to the Doha Forum, due to take place on May 12-14. Leko thanked Qatar for its assistance in the construction of the Islamic Centre and mosque in Rijeka, noting that Croatia was a good example of how to arrange relations between the State and religious communities.
