Speaker: Parliament to sit from 15 January to 3 April

Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Tuesday announced a new session of parliament, which will be convened next Wednesday, January 15 and already has 112 items on the agenda, including a vote of no confidence in Science and Education Minister Blaženka Divjak.

As soon as parliament is convened, either on the first, second or third day, the motion for a vote of no confidence in Minister Divjak will be debated, Jandroković told reporters after a very brief meeting of the parliament's presidency at which it was agreed that parliament will sit from January 15 to April 3, when it will recess for the Easter break.

That is 12 working weeks, Jandroković underscored, noting that the session would commence with the usual Question Time after which a report on meetings of the European Council would be presented.

"As far as I have been informed by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the plan for Croatia's presidency of the European Union will also be presented," Jandroković said.
