Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Wednesday talked about intensifying Zagreb-Riyadh cooperation.
They assessed Croatia-Saudi Arabia relations as good and friendly and expressed the desire to advance them further in areas of common interest, the press release said, adding that there is additional room to expand cooperation also by intensifying inter-parliamentary relations.
Jandroković and Prince Faisal welcomed the trade increase recorded last year and mentioned the many Croatian companies doing successful business on the Saudi market in the food, IT, and military industries.
The two officials underlined the importance of inter-religious dialogue based on accepting diversity and tolerance.
The Sabor Speaker underlined the very high standards of respecting and exercising minority and religious rights as well as the long history of Islam in Croatia and also mentioned the 2016 centenary of the Croatian parliament's decision to legally and institutionally recognise Islam as an equal religion in Croatia.
