Zagreb - After talks with the Speaker of the Japanese Parliament's House of Representatives, Tadamori Oshima, Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Tuesday met with Chuichi Date, President of the parliament's upper chamber, the House of Councillors.
The good and friendly relations between the two countries were confirmed at the talks as was the countries' wish to promote them in all fields.
Jandroković and his hosts expressed interest in closer parliamentary cooperation, notably in international forums where the two countries' parliamentary delegations are active.
Jadroković ended the visit to the Japanese parliament by meeting with the Japanese-Croatian parliamentary friendship group, headed by member of parliament Nobu Kishi.
The Croatian Parliament Speaker thanked the group's members for their work on strengthening relations between the two countries, as evidenced by numerous events it has organised, notably on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Croatia's diplomatic recognition.
