Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Plenković would present the new package of measures to help the economy in the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic to Parliament on Friday, which MPs would discuss for two days and which would be put to a vote next Tuesday.
- The Government has sent a package of 12 bills concerning the coronavirus situation to Parliament. They are divided into four groups - finance, four are related to the tourism sector and the hospitality industry, four to home affairs and one to agriculture, Jandroković told reporters after a session of Parliament.
He said that he would propose that MPs discuss the set of bills related to the Ministry of Finance and the tourism-related package on Friday, while the four bills related to the Ministry of the Interior and one related to the Ministry of Agriculture would be discussed on Monday.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković will present the full package to Parliament on Friday morning, while ministers Zdravko Marić, Gari Cappelli, Davor Božinović and Marija Vučković will present the bills related to their respective ministries.
The proposed amendments would be discussed on Tuesday morning and the vote would take place in the afternoon. The session would be held at the Westin hotel so that all MPs could be present, Jandroković said.
