Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Josip Leko on Tuesday sent a message of congratulations to Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic on her election as President, in which he underscored that it would be his pleasure to cooperate in a completely democratic atmosphere in the fight for national interests and further strengthening of the rule of law.
"I cordially congratulate you on your victory in the presidential election and on the honour you are entitled to with the election victory to be the first female president of the Republic of Croatia. During the election you showed that you have faith and determination and in addition to that I wish you luck and success in conducting this high and responsible duty and particularly toward realising the objective for Croatia to head on the path of recovery from this long standing crisis toward the prosperity and progress of Croatian citizens and the Croatian state.
"Working for the betterment of our common Croatian homeland requires the power of unity with which I agree with you. It would therefore be my pleasure that on the path of a prosperous and wealthy Croatia, in the fight for national interests, for further strengthening of the rule of law and the continuation of the fight against corruption, we cooperate in a completely democratic atmosphere to the satisfaction of our citizens," Leko said in his message.
