Zagreb - Deputy Finance Minister Igor Radjenovic on Thursday said that measures foreseen in the General Tax Act were aimed at more efficient and economical management of tax procedures.
"This is the umbrella law and the crown of the tax package we adopted last year and I believe that the proposed amendments will give us an important tool that will make the Tax Administration more effective," Radjenovic said presenting the bill in Parliament.
The most significant amendments relate to the issuance of binding authority, the possibility of concluding an administrative agreement and the possibility of reaching a tax settlement.
Another significant change, Radjenovic said, is the obligation to submit statistical reports and the greatest novelty is that tax documents can be submitted online.
