Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Thursday received the leader of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats (DSHV), Tomislav Žigmanov.
Žigmanov, who headed the slate "Together for Vojvodina", won a seat in the Serbian National Assembly at the 3 April parliamentary elections.
Žigmanoi spoke of ongoing consultations on forming a ruling majority in the Serbian legislature. In this context, he mentioned the possibility of the DSHV taking part in the new ruling majority provided that the conditions concerning the status of ethnic Croats in Serbia, the pro-European orientation of the new Serbian government, and its constructive approach to Croatian-Serbian bilateral relations are met.
The Sabor president congratulated Žigmanov on his success in the elections.
The two officials condemned attempts to divide the Croat community in Serbia through the exploitation of the Bunjevci issue.
