Višnja Ljubičić re-elected Gender Equality Ombudswoman

Zagreb - Višnja Ljubičić, who held the post of Gender Equality Ombudswoman in the past eight years, was re-elected by the Parliament for another eight-year term on Thursday. 

Most MPs - 92 - voted for her re-election while seven abstained.

Ljubičić, a lawyer by profession, was first appointed Gender Equality Ombudswoman in October 2011.

The Parliament also upheld appointments in several parliamentary committees, including the appointment of Social Democrat Sabina Glasovac as the chair of the Gender Equality Committee.
