Zagreb - Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković issued a message on International Women's Day, saying the holiday is a powerful reminder of the invaluable overall contribution of women to the world.
"They demonstrate this every day through their hard work in all fields they engage in, their creativity, effort, and dedication, as well as their selflessness and love. They also show us how unfair and deeply wrong it is that throughout history, they have been deprived of any right," said Jandroković, recalling the role of women who made the greatest personal sacrifices in the fight for women's political, social, and economic rights.
"Everything they have ultimately achieved must never be taken for granted, and we must work together to fully affirm their achievements. It is also very important to ensure a proper balance between work and family life, not forgetting the crucial role of women as mothers and the strong pillars of our families," he said.
