Sabor Speaker extends Christmas greetings to Orthodox believers

Zagreb - Sabor Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Monday sent a greeting to believers who mark Christmas according to the Julian calendar, wishing that the joy of the holiday would serve as an inspiration that boosts the spirit of cooperation and understanding, as well as unity and harmonious coexistence in Croatia.

"On behalf of the members of parliament and on my own behalf, I extend sincere Christmas greetings to all believers who celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar, with the traditional greeting: 'God's peace, Christ is born!' May the Light of Christmas strengthen your faith and love, and bring abundance of peace and joy to all your homes!" wished Croatian Parliament Speaker, Gordan Jandroković.

He added that this religious holiday always invites believers to reflect on all those who celebrate it deprived of the security of a family environment and joy, those who carry the heavy burden of various life hardships, as well as all people in the world who are in need of true peace.

"May this Christmas bring them encouragement and hope, and may it inspire all Christians to include them in their prayers and assist them with concrete acts of mercy. Wishing that the joy of the holiday always serves as an inspiration that strengthens the spirit of cooperation and understanding, as well as unity and harmonious coexistence in our Homeland, I once again wish you a Merry and Blessed Christmas!" concludes Jandroković’s greeting.
