Zagreb - Katarina Peović, the sole MP for the Workers' Front (RF) party, said that the reasons why her party would not vote in favour of the NATO accession of Finland and Sweden were not the same as those of the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), even though the two parties are in the same parliamentary group.
Speaking on behalf of the HSS/RF group in Parliament, HSS MP Krešo Beljak said that the NATO accession of Finland and Sweden should be made conditional on the resolution of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"In his speech on behalf of our group, Krešo Beljak expressed the position of the HSS that is not the same as the position of the RF," Peović said in a statement.
"Even though we, as a group, will indeed be against, the RF will be against for another reason. We are against the NATO alliance and our vote against has nothing to do with Bosnia and Herzegovina," she said.
