Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Wednesday received Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who was on an official visit, parliament said in a press release.
The two officials said bilateral relations were very good and friendly.
They underlined the common interest to intensify the cooperation between the two countries, and said it was important to establish even stronger parliamentary ties through stronger cooperation at the levels of committees and the Croatian-Spanish Parliamentary Group.
Jandroković invited Congress of Deputies President Meritxell Batet to officially visit the Croatian parliament.
He and Sánchez also talked about economic cooperation, which has intensified in recent years, notably in trade and tourism, and exchanged information on the COVID-19 pandemic in the two countries.
The two officials also touched on the roles Croatia and Spain play in global and European security.
