Zagreb - Croatia has been constantly pushing for Kosovo's accession to international and regional organisations and calls on the states which have not yet done so to internationally recognise Kosovo, Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković told Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu on Tuesday.
They affirmed the traditionally strong ties between the two states, but Jandroković called on Kosovo institutions to better protect the small Croatian community and to take concrete steps to improve its political, legal and social status.
The two officials are satisfied with last year's trade increase and see the potential for new progress in energy, transport, the defence industry and the IT sector.
"Croatia also supports Kosovo's European path and in this context continues to provide expert, technical and political support," Jandroković said.
Osmani Sadriu is on a two-day official visit to Croatia at President Zoran Milanović's invitation.
