Born on 27 August 1969 in Split. Graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Split – Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Holds a PhD in Physics from the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France.
