Parliament reappoints State Auditor Ivan Klešić

Zagreb - The Croatian parliament on Monday unanimously reappointed current State Auditor Ivan Klešić for another, eight-year term. Klešić was the only candidate for the post. His current term expires on December 10.

The parliament also adopted a decision on the cessation of the term of MP Ivan Kovačić, who will be replaced by Ante Pranić. Kovačić, who was Public Administration Minister for a short period of time, was an independent member of the Bridge party caucus. Kovačić sent a statement to the Parliament Speaker to inform him that he was resigning, said Žarko Tušek, chair of the Privileges and Immunities Commission, who also said that Kovačić had put his term on hold twice, and that Pranić had been filling in for him since 5 December, 2017.
